We wanted to congratulate the teams that are wrapping up the first season of the new LCSL format designed to place teams in their correct competitive level state-wide.
U13 Girls Soccer-delics finished the season in the highest competitive level (1), and they closed out the season in the top 6.
U12 Girls Shockwave and Heartbreakers actually both earned competitive level 1 positions this season. The Shockwave ended the year as a finalist, losing a close game to the Baton Rouge Black 3-2. The Heartbreakers ended up in the Quarterfinals, and earned a respectable 7th place in State.
U12 Boys Fusion were Quarterfinalists...also at the competitive 1 level.
U11 Girls Storm finished the year as finalist at the competitive 2 level, barely losing a thrilling game in the 7th round of penalty kicks. They enjoyed a very successful season, and won two tournaments along the way to their finals weekend.

LFC held it's first semi-annual Kickin Hunger free soccer clinic on April 7th for any players that brought a donation of canned goods to be donated to our local food bank. The event was a huge success with close to 50 participants who helped us to collect over 100 lbs. of food to be donated. Players were treated to a fun-filled morning of soccer and were exposed to a number of advanced technical drills and games conducted by our coaches and trainers. Several of our LFC players also participated as assistant coaches donating not only canned goods but their time as well. Big thanks to everyone who helped organize the event and to all of our coaches that made it such a great experience. Plans are in the works to hold another free clinic some time this Summer so make sure to keep up with our website to find out all the details once they are posted. We look forward to seeing everyone then.
Thanks again,
Patrick Turner
